The SPU 720 is built to deliver high-volume water supply from open water sources during firefighting and emergency response operations.

With a capacity of up to 12 000 LPM (3 200 GPM) at 2.5 bar (36 psi), it provides a reliable supply link where fixed infrastructure is unavailable, damaged or unable to meet demand. The unit is designed to feed booster pumps, fire trucks and MPU 720 series mobile pump units, helping create a complete mobile water supply chain from source to application. At the core of the system is the SFP 300 LP submersible pump, designed to operate directly in the water source. This removes the limitations of traditional suction-based systems, supporting stable and predictable performance in shallow, restricted or difficult access conditions.

Configured as an all-in-one unit, the SPU 720 integrates diesel engine, hydraulic system, submersible pump, fuel tank, control system and hose handling into a compact containerised package for fast transport, deployment and setup.

The SPU 720 is engineered to deliver consistent performance directly from the water source, even in challenging environments. By placing the pump in the water, it removes the need for priming and reduces the risks associated with suction loss, air ingress and unstable flow.

The hydraulic drive system provides controlled operation of the submersible pump, while the integrated diesel engine enables independent use in remote or off-grid environments.

The SPU 720 can be deployed at sea intakes, rivers, reservoirs, ports and industrial water basins, providing a dependable water supply for mobile pump units, monitor systems or temporary water networks.

An integrated winch and hose handling system allows the submersible pump to be lowered, positioned and retrieved efficiently, reducing manual handling during operation.

Its compact, containerised design supports easy transport, positioning and storage. While its primary role is water supply, the SPU 720 can also be used for dewatering applications where higher pressure is required.
