Accurate engineering of the complete system provides for efficiency and cost saving. FFS will give a system performance guarantee according to contract.
FFS offer a range of in-house designed and produced monitors. All monitors are made of high-quality seawater resistant materials. A wide range of nozzle designs are available for various duties.
FFS offers a complete range of monitors with capacities from 4 000 – 83 000 l/min (1 060 – 21 900 GPM).
Remote Control Systems
FFS offer a wide range of in-house designed and made remote control systems using the latest technology. Basic systems made for one monitor up to more sophisticated solutions for complex systems are available.
FFS can offer a wide range of foam proportioners from standard fixed flow inductors up to advanced variable flow systems. System design will take into consideration foam liquid viscosity and concentration. Material selection will depend on foam liquid to be used.
FFS will provide a wide range of foam pumps selected based on liquid properties and required system capacity.
FFS have long experience with design of various deluge systems for marine and land based applications. Complete detailed flow and pressure calculation for each nozzle secures performance according to customer requirements.
FFS have a complete range of dedicated fire pumps designed and made in-house. All pumps are initially made for marine environment with carefully selected high grade materials. Low weight and compact design are typical features together with high efficiency and good suction performance (NPSH). Several thousand pumps are currently in operation in all parts of the world.
FFS will deliver carefully engineered tooth couplings as part of complete system deliveries when applicable.
Gearboxes and clutches
FFS offer a wide range of in-house designed and made transmission solutions. Various executions are available: Step up, step down, various offsets and clutch solutions in combination with our pumps are offered. Full scale testing in our certified test station is normal procedure before delivery.
The connection between diesel engine and pump or gearbox requires a flexible input coupling due to torsional vibrations. The coupling selection must be approved via torsional vibration analysis (TVA). FFS will include flexible coupling in the scope of supply based on TVA approval by engine maker.
Remotely operated valves are a normal part of scope of supply. FFS can offer a wide selection of valves based on customer requirements and individual applications. Our system engineering will also include the valves.
FFS will conduct complete commissioning as a normal part of scope of supply. Trained engineers will check the installation and equipment to be in accordance with specifications. They will supervise first start-up and carry out adjustments if required. A commissioning report will be issued for all projects.
Deck Heads and Manifolds
Deck head is a mandatory part of the classed marine FiFi I, II and III systems. Special executions are often required for dedicated fireboats. FFS are also making manifolds for land-based projects.
Oil Dispersant System
FFS can deliver a standard solution for oil dispersant systems.
FFS have developed a range of container solutions for both marine and onshore use. Complete self-contained units with low weight and compact dimensions for easy handling are offered from stock. Optional foam and priming systems are available.
